Stephen Curry, born in Akron, Ohio, and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, is the son of former NBA player Dell Curry. Growing up alongside LeBron James, he attended schools in Toronto when his father played for the Toronto Raptors.

In high school, Curry became a standout player, achieving All-State honors and leading his team to multiple titles. Despite not receiving a scholarship from a major conference school, he chose Davidson College, where he excelled, becoming the NCAA’s top scorer in his final year.
