LeBron James, born on December 30, 1984, in Akron, Ohio, is a famous American basketball player. He currently plays for the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA since the 2018/19 season. Before that, he played for the Miami Heat from 2010 to 2014. His first team was the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he played from 2003 to 2010 and then again from 2014 to 2018. LeBron is 2.06 meters tall and usually plays as a small forward. He’s known as “King James” and is considered one of the best basketball players.

LeBron was predicted to be an NBA star even during high school. He entered the NBA draft straight out of school and was the first overall pick in 2003 by the Cleveland Cavaliers. In his first season, he won the Rookie of the Year award. He was named the league’s most valuable player (MVP) in 2008/09 and 2009/10. From 2006 to 2010, LeBron led the Cavaliers to the playoffs five times and to their first finals appearance in 2007. He then joined the Miami Heat in 2010, forming the “Big Three” with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, winning two NBA titles.

LeBron also had success with the United States National Team, winning bronze in 2004 and gold in 2008 and 2012 at the Olympics. In 2014, he returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers, winning his third NBA title in the 2015/16 season. In 2018, he moved to the Los Angeles Lakers and won another championship in the 2019/20 season. As of 2023, he holds the record for the most successful baskets in NBA history.

Michael Jeffrey Jordan, born on February 17, 1963, in New York City, is a former American basketball and baseball player. He is currently an entrepreneur and the majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets. From 1984 to 2003, with two breaks, he played in the NBA, spending 13 years with the Chicago Bulls and later with the Washington Wizards. Widely considered one of the best basketball players in NBA history, the NBA itself calls him the greatest player of all time.

Standing at 1.98 meters, Jordan primarily played as a shooting guard and also as a small forward during his two seasons with the Wizards. He earned the NBA’s Most Valuable Player award five times, won six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls, including six Finals MVP titles, and secured two gold medals with the USA at the Olympic Games. Jordan, a 14-time NBA All-Star, even won the Defensive Player of the Year Award in 1988, a rare accomplishment for a guard. In 1992, he was part of the legendary US Dream Team at the Olympics and became one of the most popular athletes globally.

Beyond his athletic achievements, Jordan’s endorsements, especially with Nike, contributed to an estimated $10 billion in sales by 1998. In 1999, ESPN named him its “Athlete of the Century,” surpassing Babe Ruth and Muhammad Ali. Magic Johnson famously said, “There is Michael Jordan and then there is the rest of us.” Jordan was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on April 6, 2009, alongside David Robinson, John Stockton, and Jerry Sloan, with the induction ceremony taking place on September 11, 2009.
