Introduction

Rich Flair Net Worth 2024: Richard Morgan Fliehr, is a famous American professional wrestler known by his ring name Ric Flair.

He’s considered one of the most successful and beloved wrestlers ever. He’s officially won the World Championship 16 times, which ties or surpasses John Cena’s record. While WWE acknowledges 16 world titles, other wrestling promotions also count the same number.

However, Ric Flair himself claims to have won 21 world titles. He’s had a wrestling career that’s lasted for six decades, and he’s been honored with inductions into both the WWE Hall of Fame and the NWA Hall of Fame.

Starting in 1974, Flair wrestled for Jim Crockett Promotions as part of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). He spent many years working with World Championship Wrestling (WCW), which succeeded Crockett Promotions, and also with WWE (formerly WWF). During his time with WCW, he even briefly worked as a booker. He was also the leader of the famous group The Four Horsemen, which was formed in 1984. Interestingly, his daughter, Charlotte Flair, is also a very successful wrestler in the present day.

After completing ninth grade, he went to Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin for four years. During this time, he participated in school wrestling, soccer, and track and field. Following high school, Flair briefly attended the University of Minnesota.

Ric Flair’s career began on December 10, 1972, when he had his first match in Rice Lake, Wisconsin against George “Scrap Iron” Gadaski.

He started wrestling in Japan in 1973 through an agreement between International Wrestling Enterprise (IWE) and AWA promoter Verne Gagne.

He made a heroic return to WCW in February 1993.

During Clash of the Champions XXVII in June 1994, Flair unified the WCW International World Heavyweight Championship with the WCW World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Sting.

After losing the unified WCW Championship to Hulk Hogan in July 1994, Flair returned to WWF on November 19, 2001, after the “WCW/ECW Invasion” storyline.

In 2005, Flair had a rivalry with Edge, culminating in a WWE Championship Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match in 2006.

Flair gave his farewell speech on the March 31, 2008, episode of Raw.

He appeared in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) Impact! on January 4, 2010.

On March 31, 2012, Flair achieved the distinction of being the first person to be honored in the WWE Hall of Fame for the second time.

He also appeared on various episodes of Raw and special events like Raw Reunion in 2019.

Flair participated in The Undertaker’s retirement ceremony at Survivor Series on November 22, 2020.
